Nate and Santa

This is the story of how Nate saw Santa this year...

Nate wanted to see Santa. It was all he talked about, but every time his parents or anyone else took him near Santa he got scared and didn't want to go. So, on Saturday evening his Mommy and Daddy decided to take a drive out to Cornwall for some supper. Nate was sitting in the back seat of the car waiting for his Daddy to come back with supper, all of a sudden he heard faint sirens. "What is that Mommy?" Nate said. "I think that's a fire truck" Mommy answered. "Oh, they are going to help someone" Nate told his Mommy. Suddenly what pulled in the parking lot but two fire trucks decorated with tons of lights and Christmas music playing loudly. When Nate's Daddy got back to the car he picked up his boy and took him to get a better look at the fire trucks. "Why don't you go around back and see Santa?" Asked one of the firefighters. Well Nate and Daddy climbed into the back of the fire truck and there was Santa! Nate sat on his lap and told him what he wanted for Christmas. What better way for a little boy to see Santa then in the back of a fire truck?

Unfortunetly we didn't have our camera so, the picture was taken on Daddy's cell phone.

Twilight!

Ok, I am a huge fan! I was recently reading a few negative things about the series and I wanted to put in my two cents. Why is it that we live in a world where everything has to be taken so seriously? Everything has to have some lesson for the kids and some profound moral to the story? What ever happen to books being an escape? A place where you don't have to think about what everyone else wants in you or out of you. I've read the series 3 times all the way though and in my opinion it is exactly what we need. Kids, teens and even adults need something to take their minds off of all the craziness in the world and Twilight was that for me. These books are a place where I can take my mind off all the sad things around and just let myself be absorbed in the story. I didn't take it seriously, it's not War And Peace, it's a book written for teens! It's supposed to be silly, if you saw the movie you would see what Stephenie Meyer had in mind when she wrote it. It's for entertainment not to learn lessons.
Ok, so that's my 2 cents.

Christmas 2008

I put up the tree this weekend, and there are a ton of lights on it! (all LED). I have most of the other decorations put up too, all except the ones that I need hubby to do because I'm too short. (HA HA HA), and I'm pretty much done of my shopping! It's so awesome to start early!
